Four Austin Tx prospective ラーメンベット 出金 スピード students crafting at a tableOn a Saturday in April, more than 50 high ラーメンベット 出金 スピード students in the Houston area came together in small, multi-ラーメンベット 出金 スピード teams to apply the engineering tools and techniques they learned in their Engineer Your World courses, developed by Texas Engineering faculty. The challenge for the one-day Solve it by Sunset Design-A-Thon was to create a product that prevents or mitigates flood damage to residential houses in Houston.

Over the course of the day, each team developed a technical report, a business plan and scale-models of their solutions. The event highlighted entrepreneurship, design thinking and societal impact, in addition to team building and leadership development. Two students were recognized with “Master Team Builder” awards — Katriel Cole from Logos Preparatory Academy and Luvai Khambaty from Cypress Lakes High ラーメンベット 出金 スピード.

“The Solve it by Sunset Design-A-Thon was an amazing experience,” Khambaty said. “The teamwork I observed was magnificent, and it created a unique and exceptional environment.”

ラーメンベット 出金 スピード from seven high schools participated in the event, hosted by The Woodlands Christian Academy. All teams completed the “Convergent” Challenge, and some teams also completed the open-ended “Divergent” Challenge, which challenged ラーメンベット 出金 スピード to create a product that solves any problem related to climate change.

First place for the Design-A-Thon’s “Convergent” Challenge was awarded to the “Cipher Engineering” team with students from Awty International ラーメンベット 出金 スピード, Harmony ラーメンベット 出金 スピード of Innovation – Katy and St. John’s ラーメンベット 出金 スピード. First place for the “Divergent” Challenge was awarded to the “Creative Waters” team with students from Awty International ラーメンベット 出金 スピード, Cypress Lakes High ラーメンベット 出金 スピード, Logos Preparatory Academy and St. John’s ラーメンベット 出金 スピード.

“ラーメンベット 出金 スピード need to develop a constellation of capabilities to thrive in college and career, particularly with rising competition from artificial intelligence,” said Peter Han, an Engineer Your World teacher at The Woodlands Christian Academy and the driving force behind the Design-A-Thon. “While some of these capabilities can be developed in the classroom, most of them are best developed through hands-on, project-based learning. The Design-A-Thon is an exciting example of this type of learning.”

While students were busy designing solutions, Engineer Your World teachers had the opportunity to participate in professional development sessions and discussions about best practices in teaching engineering. The participating schools were Awty International ラーメンベット 出金 スピード, Carl Wunsche Sr. High ラーメンベット 出金 スピード, Cypress Lakes High ラーメンベット 出金 スピード, Harmony ラーメンベット 出金 スピード of Innovation – Katy, Logos Preparatory Academy, St. John’s ラーメンベット 出金 スピード and The Woodlands Christian Academy.

Engineer Your World is a high ラーメンベット 出金 スピード curriculum program, developed with funding from the National Science Foundation, that was created by faculty in the ラーメンベット 禁止ゲーム of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, NASA engineers and secondary teachers. The curriculum, which includes courses and comprehensive teacher support programs, is being used in over 200 high schools around Texas and the U.S. Engineer Your World engages students in authentic engineering experiences and inspires them to embrace an engineer’s habits of mind through collaborative, student-directed projects that empower students to think like engineers, adopt engineering processes and pursue engineering disciplines for the betterment of our world.
